Finches – Photography & Art
Finches are small birds with forked or notched tails, moderately pointed wings, rounded or elongated bodies, round heads, and more or less triangular bills. Being from Missouri, we see plenty of them, and a heavy concentration of House Finches in particular.
House Finches are common year-round, so they take up a good amount of space in my birding collection, and I have become quite fond of watching them. They are monogamous, and pairs tend to form while the birds are in their winter flocks and feed in pairs adding to the birdwatching experience.
