The verses spoke of worlds draped in velvet shadows and creatures that wore their oddities like crowns. Listeners would gather, their faces half-hidden by the darkness, drinking in the peculiar poetry that spilled from the plush maw. One such evening, as the moon played hide and seek with the clouds, the Plush Poet announced a peculiar plight.
